About the Program
Menopause can bring unwanted changes that affect sleep, mood, confidence, and quality of life. If hot flashes, night sweats, or related symptoms are interfering with your daily routine, you do not have to simply “push through” them.
Beyond Hot Flashes is a structured, evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) group designed specifically for women experiencing bothersome menopause symptoms. CBT teaches practical skills to help you understand the connection between physical symptoms, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and how to respond in ways that reduce distress and improve wellbeing.
This is a skills-based treatment program, not simply a support group. Participants learn and practice concrete techniques that can continue to be used long after the group ends.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout the six-week program, participants will learn:
- How stress and thinking patterns can influence menopause symptoms
- Techniques for managing hot flashes and night sweats
- Cognitive strategies to reduce distress and worry
- Relaxation and paced-breathing skills
- Sleep improvement strategies
- Stress management tools
- Ways to build resilience and confidence during menopause
- Long-term skills for maintaining progress after the group concludes
Included Materials
Each participant will receive:
- Educational handouts
- CBT worksheets
- Homework assignments to reinforce skills
- Hot flash and symptom-tracking diaries
- Relaxation practice materials

Homework and between-session practice are an important part of the program and help translate skills into meaningful everyday change.
